The Hot Puppies

The Hot Puppies are indeed hot. The Welsh five-piece are fronted by Becky Newman and include Beth Gibson on keyboards, vocals and theremin, Luke Taylor on guitars, Ben Faircloth on bass and Bert Wood on drums. Dig the sound: The BBC calls them a "spiky grrrl-pop band hiding sharp talons and sardonic wit beneath their cool, Blondie-style new wave exterior." If No Doubt had this band's swagger, they'd still be cool.

Signed to the same label in th UK as Art Brut, The Hot Puppies debut - Under The Crooked Moon is out on July 24th on Fierce Panda Records. Cum on feel the noize.
