Burn baby burn, disco inferno

I have fallen in love with Swedish disco princess Sally Shapiro. Yeah yeah yeah - we know how Pitchfork felt about Disco Romance but when a non-music biz friend of mine said this was the best album Madonna hasn't made in 20 years I plunked down my digital dollars for Shapiro's album made in collaboration with her producer and songwriter Johan Agebjörn.

In the last 24 hours since I bought this, I've given it the 12-inch extended version listen. And like Hot Chip say "over and over and over and over" it gets better with each listen. Or as Robert Palmer says, it's simply irresistible. I'm half expecting to hear Banarama's cover of "I'm Your Venus" or "I.O.U." by Freeze any minute. Yowzah.
