Throwback Thursday v.5 - 1992

Welcome to Throwback Thursday. This week we roll back the time machine to 1992, the year after the Grunge Explosion of '91 and Nirvana's ascedency towards rock massiveness. Nevermind became the Number One album in 1992, yet the year saw several other notable highlights including:
-Rage Against The Machine released their debut
-Dr. Dre dropped The Chronic.
-REM busted out Automatic For The Peeps.
-You couldn't watch MTV without not seeing the video to "November Rain."
-You couldnt't turn on commercial radio and not hear The Spin Doctors, Boyz II Men, Right Said Fred, Kriss Kross and Mariah Carey. Ugh. And of course "Smells Like Teen Spirit."
-Lyle Lovett released the incredible Joshua Judges Ruth; Los Lobos dished up Kiko and The Black Crowes delivered The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion - albums that to this day stand as the best of these artist's body of work.
-The Beasties checked our heads, Luna blissed us out with their debut, The Jayhawks breathed some life in to alt-country; Neil Young put out the "long awaited followup" to Harvest, Harvest Moon, Pavement reinvented indierock for the 90's and we're still feeling the effects, and Arrested Development blew our minds with their debut 3 Years, 5 Months & 2 Months In The Life Of...which took them 3 years, 5 months & 2 months to make.
