These United States


SVB has raved about Washington DC's These United States before. This kid Jesse Elliot (on the left with Mark and Robby) sings and writes the songs and is graced with some great talent - a ragtag indieacana that's a little bit Dylan and The Band and a little bit Wilco and The Kinks. We're moved to no end that These United States have the "lead-off" track position on the incredible new Volume 2 compilation of coolness from the blogsters at Music For Robots. Of course, said CD is more than worth the price of admission and here's a little taste of it, of course, from These United States.
