Breakin' The Law with DJ Axel

Pete Axelrad, A/K/A is a DJ/musician extraordinaire who grew up in Chicago, spent a few years in London as a funky drummer and is now based in San Fran doing his DJ/music biz thang. Not only does the cat got mad sampling and DJ skills but he's got his MBA to boot! His new album, Breakin' The Law is a 15 track super bangin' collection of mash-ups with some crazy samples and tunes from Van Halen, TI, Motley Crue, Wu-Tang, Lena Horne, Fiddy Cent, The Commodores & Lil' Kim, Judas Priest and J-Lo, the Chili Peps and Fat Joe. Like Girl Talk's Night Ripper, Axel mixes up the music with a glorious sense of newness. As mash-up albums go, this is essential. And the Sgt Pepper cover parody is classic. You can get in touch with DJ Axel through his web site and also download a bunch of things but here's a little sampler of the good tasting stuff.
Lil' Brick House - The Commodores vs. Lil' Kim
When The Dust - Clipse vs. Queen
Shorty Wanna Feel Good - Motely Crue vs. G-Unit
Could You Be Pushed, Kicked & Loved - Bob Marley vs. Lupe Fiasco vs. James Brown (A stunner!)
