Overcome By Happiness

The Pernice Brothers dropped their Sub Pop debut Overcome By Happiness - a Todd Rundgren-esque shift to popsterism away from the alt-country ways of The Scud Mountain Boys - a little over ten years ago. I stumbled across this chamber-pop classic the other day and after listening to it for the first time in almost nine years ago, I was reminded of how much the glow of their major and minor chords made me feel so warm. Put this on back-to-back with Carole King's "It's Too Late," and you've got a segue from heaven.
