New Matisyahu

Hasidic reggae rapper and Phish-head Matisyahu is up to some serious stuff on his new EP Shattered with a song that hints at, no make that, very strategically makes an emphatic musical statement that his inner musical light is evolving. No doubt this song will make some old Matis heads go "huh?!?!" as he teams with Stephen McGregor producer and son of reggae legend Freddie McGregor on this song as well as producer input by the legendary David Kahne on other tracks.

Matis used to be like Shlomo Carlebach meets Marley. Now he's Carlebach meets T.I.

I for one am digging the re-up of some fresh Torahton.
