Press quotes typically don't grab me, however I got this e-mail about The Little Death and there was a quote about the band from John Waters: "Like Ike & Tina minus the beatings." Hey, it got my attention.

The band includes Laura Dawn (lead vocals), Moby (bass, guitar), Daron Murphy (guitar, bass, & harmonica), and Aaron A. Brooks on drums. Laura spent the last 6 years as the Cultural & Creative Director of MoveOn.org. The band's album is out now and they play NYC on October 28th at the Mercury Lounge.
